To celebrate the opening of the first government-initiated district health centre in Kwai Tsing, SilverMOVE, plug-n-play VR e-sports system, was featured to promote healthy ageing. Chief Executive Carrie Lam was one of the honourable guests during the VIP visit and our staff demonstrated how the plug-in and 3D interactive elements were integrated with traditional fitness equipment.
Motive Force supports ESSEN education and is dedicated to education technology. We hosted tutorials for teachers and educators without coding background in a special school to learn to design and create localised or personalised contents to fit SEN needs.
Supported by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, our CEO & CTO Terence participated in Global Acceleration Academy - Smart Airways Accelerator on behalf of Motive Force early this year. Being one of the shortlisted acceleratees, Terence joined the group together to showcase our core immersive VR product on vocational training and BIM-Asset Management to receive mentorship from Cathay Pacific Airways and drive business growth.
To highlight the signing of memorandum of co-operation between the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and Academic and Research Institutions to promote the use of E&M InnoPortal, our CEO & CTO Terence was invited as one of the guest speakers at the Innovation & Technology Seminar to share our VR solution in BIM-Asset Management particularly in Facility Management and Architecture, Engineering and Construction industries, fostering exchange of knowledge and experiences. The Secretary for Innovation and Technology, Mr Nicholas W Yang, and the Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services, Mr Alfred Sit were there at the event.
Motive Force participated in the Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair 2019 organised by Hong Kong Trade Development Council, co-located with Hospital Authority Convention. Mr Albert Wong Hak-Keung, CEO of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, led the homegrown biotechnology corporates in the featured zone of the exhibition. In the 3-day event, we showcased SilverMOVE, VR e-sports training system to promote health awareness and healthy ageing. Visitors were invited to experience the VR technology and they were amazed by the 3D interactive elements and the easy upgrade of traditional fitness equipment.
Motive Force has won the Hong Kong ICT Award 2019 - Smart People (Smart Ageing) Bronze Award with the application of our new product SilverMOVE. In the meantime, adopted our immersive VR product VirCube in the daily use of rehabilitation, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals has won the Hong Kong ICT Award 2019 - Smart People (Smart Inclusion) Silver Award. Motive Force participated in “Smart Living X Greater Bay” exhibition, co-organised by Hong Kong X Foundation and Tencent at APM mall. The 3-day exhibition showcased innovative and interactive games and products from 11 innovation and technology companies to the public. Dr. David Chung Wai-keung, Under Secretary for Innovation & Technology Bureau, and Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, Founding President of The Academy of Sciences of Hong Kong, were two of the officiating guests at the launch ceremony.
Students from PLK Ma Kam Ming College visited Hong Kong Science Park and spent an afternoon with our Business Director Olive at a career talk. Olive shared digital trends and career advices especially the future workforce in innovation and technology.
Adopted VirCube’s immersive VR technology in a LED CAVE system, the interactive learning centre with over 8000 square feet has been newly launched in Electrical and. Mechanical Services Department Headquarters. Mr. Alfred Sit, Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services, presented its innovative features at a media gathering and introduced the new methodology of vocational training, utilising VR and AR technology.
To support STEAM education, Motive Force hosted workshops on design and creating localised VR contents for teachers and educators. The creation tools introduced require no coding background and non-technical users could understand and learn easily. Look how serious and focused they were.
